Pay It Forward!

My sister had a contest on her blog for people to enter to win homemade items. I was chosen as a winner. Thus I will now be starting my own Pay It Forward contest. All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on this blog entry. You have until April 15 "Tax Day".I am asking you to share your fondest memory in your comments. It can be about your childhood, college days, your spouse or your children. I do have one rule. Please keep your entries P.G. as I have minors who read this blog and I do not think God would find it amusing. I trust that you already knew that! Also Should you be chosen you must also find three people to "Pay It Forward to" the item you must give must be hand made. I plan on dishing out a delicious treat to those who win on my blog! I cant wait to hear your entries.

What is wrong with this picture?

Good Job! The diamond is missing. My son and I spent most of the day in town doing things like going to church, eating at Taco Bell, looking around at Lows, shopping at Borders and attending an 8 year olds birthday party. Sometime before the party possibly at Borders it went missing. We were heading to the checkout counter when i felt my ring. My finger stuck to the place that the diamond was supposed to be. I was devastated. We searched the store but came up unlucky. Oh yes we also vacuumed and washed the car today so it very well could be at the bottom of the vacuumed (not mine). Needless to say I must now go and see how much it will cost to replace the diamond. I didn't even realize it was loose. I know it is a thing of this world and it will not matter in the end if I ever had a beautiful ring. For we can not take the things of this earth with us to heaven. But I still liked it and treasured it. I look forward to returning it to its intended beauty.

Power of Prayer

Two very good friends and I have decided to meet once a week as we work through this book. We all have children ranging in age from 12 years to 6 months old. So often I have felt alone when dealing with my tween age son and so we have decided to be a support group for each other offering suggestions for problems that arise and encouragement for the tough times. But most importantly we pray together to blanket our children with the protection that only Christ can provide. We pay for the things that have happened in the past, present and future. We also pray for ourselves as parents. That the Lord will guide our words and our actions that they may be pleasing to him. If you do not have such a support group I would like to encourage you to form one. It doesn't matter the age of your child even us adult children need prayer as we are all sinners.
