Doubble Troubble

Two count them two 8 month old babies. Wonderfully sweet, totally active, lots of diapers, formula and toys cluttering our house. We are having a blast so far but this is only day two of two babies. Ask me again in a week how it is going. The social worker told us that they are cousins born just a few days apart. The little (and I mean little) girl is older than the boy. And he just started crawling. Now nothing is safe. Ansir is enjoying being a big brother and often asks if we can keep them.

RV Rally

Wow I don't think our little RV park has ever seen so many RVs At one time.

We had a Newmar Club pull in this week. They even set up a party tent. There are about 55 RVs that belong to their party. Pluss all the regular folks who are here just to sight see. Then on the 18th we are expecting another large group.

we have about 135 sites at our campground and we only have about 5 open at this time.
WOW! They will be here until the 22nd.

Little Visitors

Our second little visitor will be staying with us for at least a few more days a week or ??? He has been such a blessing. He is so sweet. Our first Little Visitor the 7 month old girl will be coming back in a week or so. Gee what will I do with two babies? It will be like having twins. I should search for a swing to help occupy the children. Good thing Ansir is a great big brother.

A seccond litte visitor

This time we have a little boy. He is also 7 months old. I took my mom with to go shopping for him because he came with nothing. He is so sweet but what a chunk.. 24 lbs. My arm fell asleep when I was rocking him. At this time we do not know the duration of his stay. It could be a day or a year. Perhaps we will know more tomorrow.

A Little Visitor

What a joyus weekend we had. Tim supprised me by aggreeing to do respite care for a 7 month old little girl. We had a fabulous time. For those who do not know we (Tim and I) are foster parents. We have been for about 5 years now. respite care is when we care for foster children for foster parents who need a break or are going on vacation and cant take the child with them for what ever reason. Unfortunately we are unable to share pictures or details about her on line. But I can tell you that she made our hearts melt. Ansir was so good with her. He put her in her stroller and pushed her all around the house. (It was to windy out side) She had a very sweet laugh that sounded like a billy goat. She had two sharp teeth and loved her food. She even slept pretty well. The first nigh she woke up about 1 and fell asleep around 2:30 then last night she woke at 2 and fell asleep after about 20 min. Then woke up again at 5 then slept again at 7. I am tired but it is so worth it. Perhaps the Lord will bless us with one of our own some day. It is times like this that I remember why we became Foster Parents. If you are interested or have ever thought about helping out abused or neglected children don't hesitate check into your local Department of Social Services today.

Baby Showers Galore!

These are the delicious cute cupcakes that I ceated for my dear friend Ann.
I used white fosting and then pastel fondant frosting for the flowers. They took me 3 hrs to make. It was fun but very hard.

This is my dear friend Ann She is due in mid July.

Ann's class threw her a shower. They had so much fun. One of the games they played was that each child had to wear a towel under their shirts. There was lots of laughter.

Even the boys got in on the fun!

What a wild bunch. Hey their tummies look a little lumpy.

New Look?

I decided to change the look of my blog. I was hoping to find yellow but found this instead. It matches the LCMS colors don't you think? Well since I am a Lutheran Teacher perhaps it fits.I also discovered it matches the pictures of my cupcakes. Yea!

Schools Out!!!

It is over. The kids are gone, the room is cleaned, paperwork filed and now I can rest right? Wrong! Now it is time for VBS. My favorite time of the year. It will the the last one Ansir will be able to attend as a participant. Next year he will have to be a helper. Tim is even getting into the act. He will be teaching the 6th graders. I will be doing the openings, closings and all the music. Wow I better get busy picking out the songs we will learn this week. Last week we learned about 30 new songs. This year perhaps not so many but we will be reviewing some of the songs we have done for the last three years. We usually have 150 or so children attend VBS. This year we will be discovering the Way the Truth and the Life! I can't wait.
