Final project screen door instalaion

Here Tim and Dezzi are peeping the door.

Dezzi took her job of screwing the hinge to the door.

Tim is getting the door all lined up.

Finally the door is installed and looks great. We added some rubber to the side and bottom so the dogs do not scratch it all up. Another feature I love is the rollaway screen that is on top so the dogs and kids can't touch it!

Baptized into Christ

This Sunday Dezzi and Lucas were baptized into the family of God.

We all gathered around the font to witness this joyous event.
Just before the water and the word Pastor Frahm asked the children how they were to be named and if they desired to be baptized. They answered with a unanimous YES. Even those sitting in the back of the church heard their answers.

My niece was able to capture these two photos during the service.

I will treasure them always.

They both got to hold their own baptismal candles and did an amazing job.

Here is the cakes that I made for the special day. Every last piece went and the kids had to wait until the birthday celebration to enjoy cake. But they were troopers.

They thought their cake was beautiful.

This was just before the divine service. We dressed the kids in black capes to reflect the sinful nature that they and all people are born with. After the word and the water was poured on their heads the black capes were removed to show that they were indeed white as snow.

Here are the kids with Pastor Frahm. They really like him and many Sunday mornings they can be found in his study as he gets ready for the service having a conversation about this or that. This Sunday it was about being adopted into God's family.

Here is the whole family with Pastor Frahm.

Barb and TR Reiner made the trip from Hot Springs SD to be the kids sponsor. They are an amazing couple who we know will keep us accountable, remember to pray for our children and will encourage them to remain faithful.

Aunt Brandy and her three beautiful daughters were able to join us for this special occasion.

Not all kids who have been adopted are lucky enough to be in contact with their birth families. I am so glad that ours get to. Great grandma Vi and great grandpa Leo along with Grandma Amanda and their brother Dayson were able to help us celebrate.

One more picture of the kids with their sponsors.
For all of you who were not able to join us we missed you greatly but understand.

Its Dog House Time!

So my husbands work schedule has changed to an 8 And 6.
Now that he has 6 days off in a row it is project time around our house.

This week Tim and the kids built a dog house.

It was a beautiful day to be working outside with dad.

This frame is for the bottom of the dog house.

Our good friend Ruthie came to help supervise.

The kids worked hard moving things around for dad.

Now it is their turn to hammer the nails.

They tried...

and tried...

Finally dad came in to help.

Now it is time for the sides to go up.

The sun started to set so the work was put on hold.

Early the next morning the works resumed. It was a little colder than the day before but that didn't matter.

The dogs are trying to figure out what was going on.

Now its time for shingles,

It is finished.

I wonder if the dogs will use it.

Lucas turns 5

Lucas decided he wanted a Spiderman cake.

Lucas was awoken on this special day by the three of us singing happy birthday.

Then he opened his first present of the day. Brand new Cow Boy Boots. I think je likes them. There a little big but he can grow into them.

He had a great time opening up his presents.

Dezzi was a great big sister and was excited to watch.

We had several special people join is for his party At the park.

His Sutton cousins and Aunt Brandy from Wolf Point, MT

Dr. And Mrs. Reiner from Hot Springs, SD

Here is Lucas opening his present from Nana and Papa who couldn't be here since they were having an awesome adventure in Hawaii.

Here is Lucas a about to open our gift.

No way its a tool box. He couldn't wait to get it home to put all his tools in it.

One last gift from a very special person. Lucas's was walking with his birth grandma to see what it was.

Oh my his very own bike.

He wasted no time in getting on it and trying it out. His big brother Dayson looks on as he takes it for a spin.

I would say it is just right.

Now to sing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy and eat cake.

The kids had fun playing with grandma.

Here is Dezzi coming down the slide with Grandma. I love their big smiles.

Now we are at home and Lucas decided his tool bench needed a stand. So Tim rushed out to build him one.

And now let the tool organization begin.
