Today Tim put in our new front door.

He had a cute little helper.

Lucas screwed on the door knob.

He was all business.

I absolutely love it. Thank you honey.

Now I can see outside from. Inside and it lets le of light in,

Making Chicken Mummies

We are studying Ancient History. This means we are studying Ancient Egypt. What fun would that be if we didn't make our own mummies. We used chicken parts because an entire chicken is quite spend these days.

First we washed it with hot water.

Then we patted it dry.

Next we washed it in rubbing alcohol to kill all the bacteria.

Then we mixed these dry ingredients together.

Added them to the baggies.

Finally we put the chicken into the baggies, zipped them shut and labeled them. Now we wait.

Check back in a few weeks to see what happens next.

Fun at Alien Park

Sing Praises to your King!

This was a super fun laem. It had this neat version of the teeter totter That holds 4 people.

Here are Dezzi and our friend RuthI enjoying the ride.

Dezzi liked climbing the moon and sliding down.

Here is Lucas playing the musical instrument. This was my favorite part of the park.

Lots of smiles for the sitting version of a merry go round.

What an awesome swing. It looks like they areally flying.

Ruthi pushing Lucas.

This spinner is much closer to the ground than the one by the library. It's not as far to fall if the spinning g gets out of control.

Even Ruthi had to give the swing a try.

Adoption Day!

Today was a very special day indeed. Today we made Dezzi and Lucas part of our family.

We went to court in our matching T-shirts and this wonderful Judge signed the papers. It tock all of ten or 15 minutes for the entire hearing.

Here are all the people who attended our hearing. From left to right Chantell our adoption worker, Karen O'Cain our county worker, and two other amazing workers but their names escape me. I am so sorry. But one is the head of the foster care department and the other is a parent aid.

After the hearing we had a balloon releasing ceremony. It was very nice.

Everyone released their balloons when their name of position was called. It included everyone who made today possible.

It was a little chilly and windy but that's ok.

The final two balloons were released for Lucas and Dezzi.

After the hearing we headed to the church for a party with our friends. The kids even had their birth grandma, great grandparents, uncle, siblings and cousins present for the occasion. What a blessing they are to the kids.

It was a pot luck and there was lots of good food to eat.

Here are Dezzi's cupcakes with her new initials on them.

The special cake with all of our firsts initials on them including Ansir and all the pets.

Lucas's cupcakes with his new initials.

Finally a picture with all the kids who are part of Dezzi and Lucas's birth family. I am so glad that we are able to keep these family ties.

The Lord has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams.
To God be the Glory!
